Metal Alloy/AlNiCo Magnets

Alnico magnets are part of iron alloys family and is the oldest type of magnet available commercially. They are weaker than Ferrite magnets and Neodymium magnets.

The biggest advantage of Alnico magnets is that they can handle temperatures of around 500 Degrees Celsius, much higher than Neodymium magnets and Ferrite magnets.

Alnico magnets are very durable and do not break or chip easily. They are often used in sump plug magnets removing ferrous contaminates from oil.
